What's the difference between an independent insurance agent and a captive agent?
A captive agent works for one insurance company and can only sell that company's policies. The Insurance Group is an independent Trusted Choice agency: we represent Progressive, Nationwide, West Bend, Westfield, Travelers, Liberty Mutual and more, so we can compare options across carriers and move you to a better fit without you starting over.
Can you quote me if I'm already insured with another company?
Yes. Send us your current declarations page and renewal date and we'll compare it against our carriers line by line. If the coverage you already have is the better deal, we'll say so.
How long does it take to get a quote?
A licensed agent in Clinton, not a call center, compares options across our carriers and gets back to you, usually within one business day. Farm and commercial accounts can take a little longer because there is more to review.
What do I need to bring for a farm insurance quote?
For a farm package: a list of your buildings with size and use, your machinery and equipment with values, livestock counts, the vehicles and trailers in the operation, acres owned and rented, and your current declarations pages. Start with what you have and we'll follow up for the rest.
Do you handle Medicare supplements?
Yes. We write Medicare supplement and Part D plans along with individual health coverage, including Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. The best time to talk is a few months before your 65th birthday, so nothing misses an enrollment window.
How do I file a claim?
Most of our carriers take claims 24/7, and every claims line is listed on our claims page along with what to have ready. If you'd rather talk it through first, call the office during business hours at (563) 242-4000 and we'll report it with you.

We're licensed in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. From our office at 1050 N 18th St in Clinton we serve Clinton, Camanche, DeWitt, Davenport, and Bettendorf on the Iowa side and Fulton, Morrison, and Savanna in Illinois, along with the rest of the Quad Cities.
